We collect certain information when ClassCred accounts are created and ClassCred services are used. However, we only collect personal information that is necessary to provide and support ClassCred services. The types of information collected by us, and the circumstances in which we collect it, include the following:
When an administrator adds ClassCred to your chat platform, we may collect certain information about you such as your name, display name, email address, avatar, and the names and URLs of the other chat platforms that you use with ClassCred.
We collect information that is generated by users through activity on the ClassCred services. For example, we collect the messages, reactions and forms that are sent, posted or submitted by users. We also collect data about this content (also known as metadata), such as when it was transmitted, who viewed it, and who reacted to it.
We collect information from and about the devices that are used to connect with the ClassCred services, such as device ID, operating system, and information from and about other application software on the devices that integrate with ClassCred.
We may collect information about the network and connections related to an account, such as the mobile operator, time zone, IP address and connection speed.
We may collect data from cookies stored on a user’s device. Cookies are small text files containing a string of characters that can be placed on a device that uniquely identifies the device. They help us understand how you have used ClassCred services in the past.
We may collect data from the chat platforms that you use with the ClassCred services. For example, the platform may communicate to us whether you are logged into the chat platform under the administrator’s account.

ClassCred uses Amazon Web Services as a hosting provider in the United States to store and protect your information. They are up to date and setup with the latest security standards and undergo recurring security assessments to protect your information.
When you submit information via our service, your information is protected and encrypted both at rest and in transit though secure connections. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.

Personal Data will never be stored longer than necessary. The retention period is based on our agreement with each educational institution, the legal obligations we have to adhere to, and our legitimate interest to communicate with you to manage the service and handle problems that may occur. In general, we will retain your Personal Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.
You can request for us to send, remove or modify any information about your account. You can export data on the Instructor Resource page of your ClassCred site or by emailing us. To permanently remove your data, you must email us at support@classcred.com, and we will remove your data within 30 days of notice.

Cookies are small files a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers' systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
